Misty & Mouse

Meet Misty and Mouse, sister and brother siblings!

We are highlighting this delightful duo on behalf of One Cat at a Time.

Misty and Mouse were two kittens rescued from a local derelict site we helped support with at the latter end of 2024.

We cannot begin to express what an awful environment this was for the cats and kittens who had to endure living and being born here. Always in danger, filthy and living in absolute squalor.

Sadly, whilst so many lives were saved from here, there were also lives lost, including the life of their sister Moonlight. But we do have the chance now to give Misty and Mouse the life and love they all so deserve.

Misty and Mouse are now approximately 10-12 months old (born beginning to mid-October 2024).

They are both neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment. Both have had inflamed gums since their rescue, but we’re waiting until they’re older to ascertain the best course of action. One Cat at a Time has kindly offered to support their adopters with dental treatment costs, as and when needed post adoption.

The duo are full of energy, they adore food and love playing. They are used to a little dog but Mouse does sometimes want to be top kitty, so potential adopters should be dog free or with a single, cat friendly dog.

As with most cats, they are shy until they get to know you, but given time and love we know they will soon settle. They would suit a quiet home with no other cats as they don’t appear to relish the company of the other cats close by.

After the awful start they’ve had in life, M&M are now ready to fly the nest from their foster home and find their forever family.

If you’d like to offer this incredibly special pair their much deserved happy ever after, giving them a life of comfort and companionship, please apply by completing our application form. We will pass this on to the OCAAT team, who will be in touch.

Please note with the increase in cost of veterinary treatment we now urge all adopters to take out relevant insurance. Every cat deserves the opportunity to be provided with the required veterinary treatment should they need it during times of illness or injury.
