Mr Trig arrived in our care following what was believed to be an RTI. He was finally rescued 11 days after witnesses saw a ginger cat being hit by a vehicle and limping off, resisting help.
Our darling boy had irreparable ligament damage - the same injury as our little Amber had back in September 2025. She too had no alternative other than amputation.
But, as you’ll see from his video, amputation isn’t holding him back! ‘Tripod’ cats are so resilient and much more mobile than we could ever imagine.
Mr Trig is the friendliest little soul, even given all he’s endured at such a young age, he is still so trusting. Vets believe he’s around 10 months old.
He enjoys endless fusses and will be the apple of his new adopter’s eye without doubt.
Mr Trig has been neutered, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is just completing his vaccination course.
We haven’t yet cat or dog tested him, although he’s so amenable we believe as long as gradual introductions take place, once he’s had his own chance to settle and decompress, it should all be quite harmonious.
Mr Trig would benefit from a home with a catio or cat proofing - or from those willing to explore this option. He’s only a baby and has already lost one of his nine lives – he’s very lucky to still be here to tell the tale.
We want to ensure we’re providing him a safe and loving home, for the longest time possible, he deserves this and more.
If you’d like to register your interest for Mr Trig, please compete our adoption form.
Please note with the increase in cost of veterinary treatment we now require adopters to take out relevant insurance - we will provide more information during the adoption process. Every cat deserves the opportunity to be provided with the required veterinary treatment should they need it during times of illness or injury.
