Maggie

Meet our Maggie!

Maggie was found with another cat, Nellie, who we think may be her mum. They’d been abandoned inside a small carrier behind a bin area near some flats. Luckily, they were heard crying and came into our rescue.

Both girls were clearly very traumatised and in quite poor condition. An urgent trip to the vets ensured they were checked over and flea and worm treated.

Maggie is around a year old, and has since been spayed and vaccinated. The decision was also made to separate the girls after they were not getting along to well in foster care.

We don’t know their story prior to being found, but Maggie can display nervous behaviours at times, mainly when in a new environment or there’s new sounds she’s unsure about. Despite this, Maggie is a very loving sweet girl, sometimes a little overwhelmed as she wants lots of fuss which can occasionally result in a nip. It’s not aggressive, more of an over stimulation response.

Maggie will follow you around and loves to be close to her foster mom. She always eats food like she has never been fed - common when animals have struggled to find food so this will settle over time.

Maggie is such a young loving cat who has clearly had a troubled start to life so we’d love to find her the home she truly deserves. An experienced cat home would be ideal as Maggie isn’t an aggressive cat but she does need a supportive, understanding family who are able to help her when she’s a little unsure.

Please note with the increase in cost of veterinary treatment we now require adopters to take out relevant insurance - we will provide more information during the adoption process. Every cat deserves the opportunity to be provided with the required veterinary treatment should they need it during times of illness or injury.
