Casper and Merlin

Meet our magical Casper and Merlin!

For those who follow us on social media, you may remember our ‘spooky kitten’ quadruplet, Boo, Jack, Casper and Merlin. They have had the most horrendous start to life and at the time of coming into our care, Casper's life really did hang in the balance.

Boo and Jack, the more healthy of the four, were recently rehomed and are settling in beautifully.

Casper's journey, however, has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. There have been moments along the way where we thought we'd just got there too late. But although heartbreaking to witness, we just couldn't give up on him. We could see he had his whole life ahead, and his brother Merlin to get home to. He was a fighter.

Following a long stint at the vets, by his side throughout was our Jo. Steadfast and determined, she nursed him around the clock, on some evenings barely closing her own eyes to ensure he remained alive and well. For weeks he has been on a medley of medication - it’s been an absolute journey, yet seeing his will to cling on against all odds has been so inspiring.

Merlin didn't come out unscathed himself; he too has had his own battles to fight.

Thankfully, both boys are now coming out the other side, their bond stronger than ever, so we’re now in search of their forever home, of course together. Due to the viruses the boys have both carried, they must remain the only cats within the home.

In a few weeks’ time, the boys will be neutered and receive their first vaccine. We are looking ideally for a loving and devoted home locally, so should the need arise for us to help bolster their support, they are close by to our partner veterinary practice in Stourbridge.

Serious enquiries only please. Due to their challenging start in life, we are aware there will be certain elements that pet insurers will not cover. We would anticipate insurance will be taken out for all other aspects of their health as there are so many other illnesses and/or injury that can occur during the lifetime of a cat. We will speak in much more depth with serious potential adopters about how we foresee we can help in the future, given their previous health issues.

Whoever is lucky enough to adopt these boys will undoubtedly have won the lottery! They are beautiful souls with so much love to give. They have been wonderfully socialised in a home with children between 7-10 years of age so we would consider homes with older children.

These boys are truly very special indeed and our final act of love is to find the perfect home for them and allow them to fly the rescue nest. If you'd like to make a real difference and offer two beautiful brothers their forever home together, we would love to hear from you. Please complete an application form.

Furthermore, we don’t ever rehome on a first come first served basis, it will always be based on finding the perfect match for the cats in our care.
