Bella and Smokey are what you might call companion cats - in a loose sense of the term! They’ve been together for a long time now but do enjoy their own space. They’ll be sure to let each other if they want ‘me’ time although harmony does reign most of the time!
The duo came into our care when their elderly owner could sadly no longer care for them. Originally living in a flat, they are not streetwise but have really enjoyed access to the outdoors via a catio at their foster home, enabling them with fresh air and a safe place to play.
Bella is a beautiful, petite five-year-old tortoiseshell, with an adorable but very timid nature. However, once she’s learned to trust you, she can be really affectionate and happy to be stroked and tickled. Bella is also beginning to enjoy play and loves her feather dangler toys!
Smokey is a handsome 10-year-old, sporting a short blue/grey coat and the most adorable eyes. He loves his home comforts as an older cat. Smokey does have arthritis - but someone has clearly forgot to tell him as he’s more like Tigger, never giving up the opportunity to play, particularly loving chasing games! He’s on regular doses of pain relief for his condition. Smokey loves attention and will sit near or on you, happily being stroked - his idea of heaven! He also has a very healthy appetite and is extremely affectionate.
Both Bella and Smokey would make very amusing and rewarding companions. They’re looking for a quiet household where their particular needs can be met, ideally with a catio or secure garden so they can enjoy the outdoors without fear.
