PIPPA

Pippa is a very much-loved cat, however she’s looking for a new home after her owner made the very difficult decision, in Pippa’s best interests, to rehome her.

Pippa was a stray, rescued when she was only 12 weeks old from a car engine in Bulgaria. She had travelled inside the car but luckily, apart from being very frightened, she was not hurt.

Her owner loved and cared for her and arranged for Pippa to come and live in the UK with her when she moved here around four years ago.

Pippa is an independent cat, shy in new surroundings, but given time to settle, her personality will shine.

She’s chatty and will often meow back when someone talks. She enjoys fusses, purrs when being brushed and loves to sit in high places to watch all the goings on around her.

She loves playing with toys and small balls and will carry them round. Of course, she loves treats - especially the sticks - and enjoys her food. If there’s anything left on a plate, she’s been known to steal it!

Since the birth of her owner's daughter 12 months ago, Pippa has been very upset and has gone from a happy and friendly cat to a cat that is extremely stressed and spends a lot of time hiding. Her owner has tried everything to help, but sadly, Pippa is just not accepting of the new addition to the family. Her owner believes she may have had a bad experience with children before she was rescued which could explain her fear.

Pippa therefore needs a quiet, calm home with no children, visiting children or other animals. She needs a patient owner, where she can be left to settle in her own time with someone that understands that she may be very nervous until she realises she is safe. Pippa needs a strictly indoor home where attention is given to ensure doors and windows are kept closed. The option of a catio when she has settled in would be perfect.

As this was a very difficult decision for her owner, she would like to be kept updated regularly on how Pippa is doing in her new home and, if for any reason, her adopters couldn't keep Pippa any longer, she must be returned to her previous owner.

Pippa has been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

Please note: Pippa is slightly out of our area in Sheldon, Birmingham B26 and is therefore not under the care of the RSPCA Stourbridge & District Branch or any other branch. Pippa is under direct re-homing where cats are rehomed from their home to yours. This is to help assist owners re-home cats safely.

Please get in touch using our adoption form if you are interested in giving Pippa a home.
